About Us
US Taiwan Watch is a 501c(3) non-profit organization that is a think tank and media creator. We are dedicated to making the relationship between the United States and Taiwan more resilient, more productive, and more purposeful through civil society and civil engagement.
US Taiwan Watch was founded in 2017 to synthesize data on Taiwan-related bills in Congress. Later, we expanded to include analysis on U.S. foreign policy and podcasts discussing U.S.-Taiwan relations. Our 2021 book "Why and How the US Matters?" examines important issues within the U.S.-Taiwan-China dynamic.
We have over 150,000 followers on Facebook, and our podcasts have accumulated over 1.6 million plays. Our Twitter account is followed by prominent scholars, journalists, and political leaders in Taiwan and the United States. Our editors are also recurrent commentators on news media.
Going forward, we will provide the global audience with insights on Taiwan’s current affairs, history, and culture. We are also planning more in-person events around the world.
We are building a community for a new generation of thinkers and doers, to tell the story of why the US matters for Taiwan, and why Taiwan matters for the US. Join us!
